Covid-19 update

Covid-19 – update: Monday 23rd March

If you have booked a stay in one of our Hotels or Inns

In line with government advice about avoiding non-essential, travel, and the increased risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus we have now closed.

If you are due to visit during the closure period, regrettably we have no choice but to postpone your visit with the option to rebook any available date during the next 14 months. We are experiencing a high volume of calls so please email us at reservations@staustellbrewery.co.uk and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Our team are working as hard as possible to answer all enquires as quickly as we can. We’ll deal with guests in order of their arrival dates (starting with those due to arrive imminently and moving forward). If we haven’t managed to contact you before your scheduled arrival date, you will still be able to rearrange your break. We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

For arrivals after the 21st April bookings are as normal at this time.

Covid-19 – update: Friday 20th March

Responding to today’s announcements by the government, Kevin Georgel, chief executive, St Austell Brewery Family Group, said:

“In the short term we have an immediate challenge of having to work through the logistics, from both an operational and team aspect, as we temporarily close our managed pubs and support our tenants in light of the government’s instructions, which we respect and will adhere to.

The support from the government today came as both a huge relief and an enormous reassurance to the industry and will enable us to secure hundreds of jobs within our business.

In the coming weeks we will need to work through today’s announcement and the fiscal support the Chancellor has committed to providing and understand how we will use this to underpin our efforts in supporting our teams, tenants, customers and the communities in which we operate.

We know for so many, pubs play a key role in bringing together local communities and are a vital a place of sanctuary and will play an important role as the country comes through this crisis.

In parallel with the government’s instructions, and regular reviews of possible re-opening dates, we’re committed to working towards welcoming guests back into our pubs when we know it’s safe to do so.

We’re not through this, and like the rest of the country we will continue to decide how best to navigate the many challenges ahead. We continue to wish you and your families all the best during this time and thank you for your continued support.”

Your dog can stay too!

We love dogs here at the Lifeboat and we wouldn't want them to miss out on a little holiday too!

We’re the ideal hound hideaway for dogs due to our fantastic location! There are some idylic walks in our local area, we are minutes away from the South West Coast path and there are plenty of dog friendly beaches in the area. We are sure that will keep you happy and your four legged friends tail wagging for joy!

Your dog is welcome to join you in our bar and outside spaces but we do ask that you do not leave them in the room alone as it can sometimes be unsettling for them.

We want you and your dog to be as comfortable as possible so we suggest, a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs, per room.

To ensure we allocate you the correct room please call us to book a dog friendly room. Dogs are charged an additional £10 per dog, per night.
